How to Find and Join an Unturned Server

Unturned is a free-to-play zombie survival sandbox with a massive multiplayer community. From vanilla survival to heavily modded roleplay servers, the game offers something for every type of player. This guide walks you through finding and joining the right Unturned server on LobbyLink.

Server Types and Game Modes

Unturned servers run a variety of game modes. Survival is the most common — you spawn with nothing, scavenge for gear, and try to survive against zombies and other players. PvP servers allow full player combat, while PvE servers disable player damage so you can focus on cooperative survival.

Arena servers drop you into a last-player-standing battle with pre-set loadouts. Roleplay servers add structured rules — jobs, economy, factions, and social interaction take priority over combat. Many RP servers use plugins like RocketMod to add features like vehicles, shops, and custom items.

Creative servers let you build freely without survival constraints. Some servers run custom maps made by the community, offering entirely new environments to explore.

How to Connect

In Unturned, click Play from the main menu, then Servers. You can browse the full server list or use filters to narrow by map, mode, and whether the server uses BattlEye anti-cheat. To connect directly, click the IP button and enter the server address and port (default 27015) from the LobbyLink listing.

Some servers require Workshop mods. Unturned will prompt you to download them automatically when you try to join — this may take a moment depending on the number of mods. Whitelisted servers require you to apply through their Discord before you can connect.
