Finding a quality game server has always been harder than it should be. You either dig through forum threads, rely on word-of-mouth in Discord servers, or stumble across a sketchy listing site that hasn't been updated in years. We built LobbyLink to fix that.
What LobbyLink Is
LobbyLink is a game server listing platform built specifically for modern multiplayer gaming. It covers the titles players actually care about — Minecraft, Rust, FiveM, Counter-Strike 2, ARK, Garry's Mod, Valheim, and more — with real-time player counts, verified ownership, and community voting.
Every server on LobbyLink is monitored continuously. Our distributed agent network checks each server every few minutes and records whether it's online, how many players are connected, and how its performance compares to its own history. No more outdated listings with stale player counts.
Why We Built It
We are gamers. We've spent years trying to find good servers for the games we play. The existing solutions share the same problems: outdated data, no verification, rankings easily manipulated by bots, and interfaces that look like they haven't changed since 2012.
We wanted a platform that:
- Shows accurate data. Live player counts, real uptime statistics, and 30-day history — not numbers a server owner typed in manually.
- Earns trust through verification. Server owners verify ownership through DNS records, game tokens, or RCON — not just by claiming they own a server.
- Protects rankings from abuse. Votes require account verification, Cloudflare Turnstile challenges, and IP-based deduplication. Fake votes are caught and discarded.
- Respects players' time. Clean search, smart filters, and a leaderboard that actually reflects the best servers — not the ones with the biggest bot budgets.
What We Are Building Next
LobbyLink launched with the core listing and monitoring features, but we have a full roadmap ahead:
Community features — Follows, reviews, server posts, and an activity feed for servers you care about. Owners will be able to post updates, patch notes, and event announcements directly on their listing.
The Minecraft plugin is live — download it here. It handles vote rewards, streaks, vote parties, PlaceholderAPI, and live player count sync. Works on Spigot, Paper, and Purpur 1.8.8–1.21.x. Free and open source.
Premium listings — Highlighted server cards, banner images, pinned placement, and analytics dashboards for owners who want more visibility.
More games — We are expanding beyond our launch lineup based on demand. TeamSpeak, Discord servers, Project Zomboid, and Palworld are all on the list.
